As I posted on my regular blog, I came up with two ideas for my NaNo Novel. I'm not quite sure which one I'll use and which one I'll work on slowly.
An Awakening Prospect
A girl goes to sleep one day and doesn't wake up, follows her as she attempts to find a way out of the "dream world".
+: I get to play with fun landscapes and add lots of extra words to my novel describing everything
+: I get to add lots of weird characters
-: This is the kind of idea that I really like and would want to spend more time on as to not ruin it by speed-writing it so fast
Unnamed Novel
A writer/artist/musician, the girl thinks her muse is trying to kill her. Set up with "diary pages", conversations between people, and scenes.
+: Lots of fun perspective changes
+: Get to switch between different POVs often
+: Comedy novel
-: CAN NOT THINK OF A NAME FOR IT ARGH
I think I'm going to go with the second idea and work on the first slowly, since I do like the idea and want time to think up strange worlds and characters. Well, I'll just have to wait until November rolls around. Cheers! |
